Wineries south of Siena

Rebecca,

Earlier today I sent you a request to join one of your tours. Additionally, I want to visit wineries on my own as I have a car.

Can you provide me with a Web site that details the Chianti Classico region so I can develop a plan to travel to them?

We are staying for 4 nights in Torrita Di Siena (SI).

Greg

Wineries and Saturdays
Sun May 17, 2009 9:06 pm by azeckel
Hello,

My wife and I are planning to spend a day in Tuscany driving and visiting some wineries. I read in another post on here that most wineries are open Monday through Friday. What about Saturdays? Is there anywhere specific that we should plan or not plan to go based on the day of the week?

Thank you!

Hi,
we have rented a house close to Siena July 11-18, and would like to visit some vineyards in the area. We are travelling with a child (approx 2 years old).

* Any suggestions what to visit approx 1-2 hours driving from Siena?
* Should we make arrangements with wineyards up front, or just drop by?
* What time of day (not lunch time I understand )
...

Thank you in advance,

I have a 5 day stay in May this year and we will be staying very close by to Monterchi.

We are very interested in doing a few day trips or winery tours close by to that area.

Can anyone suggest some suitable wineries that are within say 1 hour maximum driving time and also advise of any other information with regards to opening times, booking ...

We will be driving from Florence the morning of 9/25, staying in Radda that night, and returning to Florence late on 9/26. I was THINKING of the following, but am open to suggestions:

Lunch at Ristoro di Lamole, wine tasting at a couple of places on our way from Greve to Radda. Walking around Radda early evening, then going to dinner at La Bottega in Volpaia. Next day, breakfast ...

Arranged Tours
Tue Oct 28, 2008 10:07 pm by bobp4792
My wife and I are going to visit Tuscany next summer for at least 10 days. I am curious about where to stay, likely two or three towns, where we could visit as much of the area as possible in a leisurely manner. Also, we would like to have arranged tours of wineries by your group or by others that you would recommend.

Can you recommend a source to help me plan an arranged visit.
